Niek @ 25
Life begins at 25. Or 29. I'm not really sure. But fact is there's one day in a year deemed more important than the rest. And that is your birthday! Hoerah! That's when all your family decides to remind you you're getting older and your friends spam your Facebook for their happy greetings. It's a day to dread or to love. And to the one I love most, Happy Birthday!
I surprised him with homemade (read: I-almost-forgot-to-prepare-something-so-I-had-to-do-it-last-minute) cookies and card on mindnight.
We decided to celebrate his birthday with a late dinner in 't Pakhuis in Antwerp. It was a pleasant surprise for him since it was his first time to go there. Brasseries are usually dark and cramped but 't Pakhuis is spacious and has a lot of light. Of course we took the famous Nen Bangelijk beer which was always nice. We shared carpaccio for starters, I had rabbit, Nieky had mixed grill which I was too late to capture. But sadly no space for dessert. It was yum yum yum!
